Welcome to Tagane Arts.   If you are new to my work I have been creating Japanese styled sword fittings full time since 1998. I specialize in creating Tosogu, the many metal pieces that are used on a Japanese styled sword mounts.   Tagane is a Japanese word that refers to the various chisels and punches that are used in classical Japanese metal work. They are part of a Classical method for Carving, Engraving, and forming metal that is uniquely Japanese. My work bench pictured below.
